The organization currently has twenty-nine fully trained firefighters, seven fully trained fire police, and three junior firefighters who are working to achieve firefighter status. These men and women have chosen to dedicate much time and effort to serve and protect Penn Forest Township, its citizens, and visitors.Penn Forest Township is 76 square miles in size and is the fastest growing and most populated municipality within Carbon County. Fire & Rescue services are provided by our company the Penn Forest Volunteer Fire Company #1 as well as our sister station, Penn Forest Township Volunteer Fire Company #2 which is located on State Route 534 in the Northeastern portion of the Township. On average we run about 200 calls per year. Calls include everything from structure fires to pumping basements, motor vehicle accidents to automatic alarms. When you dial 911, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we'll be there!
